Howdy! I’m Jackson Turcotte — a director, story artist, and stop-motion aficionado central to Los Angeles, California.
I’m currently working as a storyboard artist at ShadowMachine on an unannounced project. Before that, I was a feature story artist for an exciting new animated feature film at Starburns Industries, and as an assistant director on “Everybody Still Hates Chris” at Titmouse. Previously, I was an episode director on FOX’s pet-centric therapy sitcom "Housebroken," and storyboarded on Season 2 of Apple TV’s “Severance.”
I love to break stories collaboratively, and always strive to make people crack a smile with my muppet-y sensibilities in comedic scenes, or lean in with wonder and gasp during dramatic ones.
Additionally, I’ve been teaching Intermediate Storyboards at Loyola Marymount University since 2019. I love working with the brilliant emerging talents of tomorrow and helping them grow their story skills!
In my spare time, I write plays, read comics, and play golf, tennis, or piickleball (poorly) with my girlfriend (who’s really good!) On weekends I can be found wandering LA’s great museums, working the pottery wheel, or admiring the Monstera Deliciosa plant I grew from a cutting during the pandemic. It’s taken over an entire corner of my living room.
I’ll send for help if it starts singing “Feed Me” one day.
