Creature from the Black Lagoon
Animatic:
Full Sequence:
A reimagined opening to “The Creature from the Black Lagoon” — one of my first favorite films! Wanted to practice my visual scene writing and feature-board looseness here. One day I truly would love to pitch an updated version of this classic.
“Dogs are There” — Single Shot Story Beat
Short scene I boarded. I like the challenge of finding the most economical place to put the camera for a whole story to play out!
Severance Season 2 - “Lumon is listening” sequence (side-by-side)
I was fortunate enough to be approached to storyboard this stop-motion segment for Ben Stiller’s premiere episode of Season 2 of “Severance.” Ben was great at giving direction to keep simple setups reminiscent of classic Rankin-Bass Christmas specials, but with hints of spooky undertones scattered throughout that still felt threatening under the surface of all that stop-mo cheer. Very fun to contribute to one of my favorite shows!
Scene Study: Portrait of a Lady on Fire
Adored how well this film conveyed so much in single setups. Had to do a study!
“Doc McStuffins” Musical Sequence
“Mickey and Friends: Trick or Treat” — Musical / Comedy sequence
“Housebroken” — Cold Opening Sitcom Style Comedy sequence
“Honey’s Coyote Romance Dreams” — Sitcom Style Comedy Sequences
Two short dream sequences directed and boarded from episode 102 of Fox’s series “Housebroken.” Some boards revised by episode artist Georgia Henderson.
“No Good from a corpse” — thumbnail concepts based on a scene from a Leigh Brackett novel
I really like exploring big, exaggerated compositions that really push the drama of a scene in thumbnails. This was day-dreamed up from a scene where our hero detective confronts a lead who was described as “big as the doorway he lumbered from.”
Lord of the Rings — Scene Studies

Quick Studies from LOTR! I love how wonderfully Peter Jackson balances such a sense of grand scale and wonder with more intimate, warm character-focused setups in these films.
Action/Comedy Sequence - Group Fight from "Supermansion" Season 2 Finale
Looser fight boards from the finale of “SuperMansion” — using the limits of stop-motion and considered edits to try and maintain a “one-shot” flow from set piece to set piece.
“Octo-Charlloette” Comedy Sequence - "The Adventures of Kid Danger" Nickelodeon TV Series
Storyboards from “The Adventures of Kid Danger.” I like drawing more loosely, but can easily tune things to this level for TV Production standards!
“Piperbeast” Action-Comedy Sequence - "The Adventures of Kid Danger" Nickelodeon TV Series
Drama Sequence - "The Dog" A short piece adapted from a Mamet monologue.
A challenge from an early boards class to take a monologue and build a scene from it that isn’t a 1:1 setup. This is an older piece, but I still like the heart of it even if my drawings have improved vastly since these days!
